About me.
A great relationship with your photographer translates to beautiful, authentic images. Here’s a little more about me, my philosophy and my vibe.

Naps & Snaps
I currently work part-time as an anesthetist. I often interact with patients and families during stressful and scary experiences. I make it my mission to put people are at ease in uncomfortable situations. I carry this philosophy behind the camera as well.

My why
Because in anesthesia I often see people when they are scared, uncomfortable, in pain. Sometimes, I see people on the worst day of their lives.
Behind the lens, I get to see people when they feel beautiful, hopeful, loved. And it grounds me. And reminds me that humanity could use a lot more beauty, hope, and love.

My Style
I shoot mainly with a Canon, occasionally with a Panasonic. I love natural light. True colors. Maybe you’ve noticed that sometimes my work looks “film-inspired”, sometimes it’s saturated with high contrast. I’ll deliver a vibe that was consistent with the moment because I think that’s more important than to have a cohesive Insta grid.

Things I love.
My 100lb Rhodesian Ridgeback, Owen and 70lb Viszla, Tippet. Helping people feel beautiful. Traveling. Naps (not just the general anesthesia kind). Goats yelling like humans. The “Thank You Mom” commercials that play during the Olympics. The Olympics. Alabama Shakes radio playlist on Spotify. Bull Creek. My husband, John.
Real Talk.
I have a bachelors degree in health science with minors in biology and chemistry, plus a masters in anesthesia. I am not a professional photographer. If you are looking for someone who has studied light, art, and film, I would be happy to refer you to some of my favorite professionals!
However, I’m eager to learn and grow as an artist. And I think photos are important. I appreciate the opportunity to work on my craft with you in front of my lens and I’d be honored to capture your milestones.
